Pete the cat is rockin in his shoes

Well over the summer I found out about Pete the Cat. So this year I tried something new with my 2nd graders. We drew Pete with a pencil then trace with a black crayon. We also drew an instruments. Then the student painted Pete in they got to use any color. Also I found some shoe on internet and they painted them how they liked.

Well here are some of my student work. They really enjoyed using the tape a lot.

So I went to lunch today with the other art teacher. And she show me these Campbell's soup can marking 50 year of Andy Warhol art work. They are souper cool. I am going to have an get some of my own. You all should rush out and get yours today.

4th grade op art

Ok I know that everyone has seen this before a million times. But I want to show all of you anyway.

Well we are celebrating international dot day. My 5th graders are making different types of dots using colored masking tape. That has been sitting around the art room for a few years. The kids love using the tape. I will be post more pics as they get them done.
