A bad week for my.....

Ok well this was a bad week for my clothes. First i got red and a bit of blue tempera paint on my grey shirt. Which I used carpet cleaner to get it out. Which work very well. Then as I was getting the black India ink ready it leak out of the cap. Then drips of it came down on my pants. I couldnt find anything to get the ink out. Oh well what is an art teacher to do. Right. Well do you all have any tips for getting black India ink out. I know everyone would love to hear them.

You know we should have a list of cleaners that will take out stains for all the stuff we do. We (me) are messy just like my messy blog.

Over and out

  1. I'm not sure if it will work on India Ink, but I have found that Grandma's Spot Remover from JoAnns works wonders on getting out stains from the art room in my clothes! It's a small yellow bottle with a blue cap and costs about $5, but I think it's worth it! You usually find it around the check out isles at the store.

  2. I know that cheap aerosol hairspray cleans sharpie marks on clothes. You might give it a try!!

  3. That's why I never bought expensive clothes to wear in the art room, and dressed in black often when we were using stuff like India ink or charcoal or vivid tempera paint. If you were female, I might suggest you turn the ink drips into inspiration for a doodle design on the article of clothing, but I guess that wouldn't work so great on men's pants!

  4. I can't help, sorry, but I though I was the only art teacher who took chances and rarely wore a paint shirt. Not that that stops the scissor holes and ink on my shoes. You've called yourself Mr Messy, I think you're in character.
