Collaborate art

So I saw a few examples of where high school art student work with an elementary art students art work. And use that art work as a reference.  The high school art teacher and I worked out all the details. I had my kindergarten students draw there own monster and the high school students drew, sculpted, and craved them.  It was a lot of fun. We plan on doing it again next year. So pleases stay tuned in to see what happens next.

  1. I LOVE these projects! I have seen so many teachers do these nowadays and can't wait to try it with my kiddos! I've seen the drawn versions like these and then also where high school students will sew or make 3-D polymer clay versions of the little ones' drawings! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

  2. A fabulous idea. And a great way for the two age groups to communicate. Thank you.

  3. I teach k-5 and my daughter is in AP drawing, 11th grade - I think her class may be getting this assignment from me! Thanks for the great idea!

  4. This is adorable. I bet the little guys are tickled! I'd love to see the sculptures too. This would work real well in my (former) school, since K-12 is all in one big building. Maybe I'll suggest it.
